In R12, the default for this database parameters parameter ( sec_case_sensitivce_logon ) is FALSE, but you are allowed to set it to TRUE (if a patch is applied) ( see 396009.1 )

The patch however doesn't seem to help the fact that FNDCPASS doesn't work, if this parameter is set to TRUE. The fix that is proposed is to change the parameter TRUE -> FALSE (see 1306938.1) ...

... and, leave it there ?

Or, what if this database parameter should be TRUE, in an EBS database ?
