HFM Upgrade- does it need to create new applciation or can upgrade with exisitng app

Hi All,

We are using HFM 11.1.2.1.600, and planning to upgrade by early next year.

my question would be, can we update POV year dimension at the time of upgrade.

or this activity can be done only during the new applicaiton creation.

Because if this is going to be positive only during the new application setup.

then there is not meaning in upgrade, instead we can create a new application with latest details from business. cleaning up all the unwanted items in the metadata and and rule files.
