SCM Legal Contracts - Renewals

Hi,

For anyone on 9.1 or 9.2 and using SCM Legal contracts, how are you classifying renewal contracts? Looking for any system answers or best practices, or how we can label a renewal.

I believe its recommended to add an amendment (for the renewal) to the contract, which would keep the same contract ID number (Ad hoc ID).

Any help is appreciated.
