Include Assembly item as Component also - Is this a bug

Hi

Bill of material/Work order is allowing to include Assembly item as component under its own Bill

for e.g. Assembly Item A bill of material is allowing to include Assembly item A as its component. This will be a loop for Bill, but it does not validate when we try to add. This looks like bug, if not any reason for allowing it.
