Reporting in JDE(date pattern)

Hi experts

In the company set up  we have defined date pattern as (April to March)

1) Now if the user wants to change this date pattern for a company from 2019 beginning  as ( Jan to Dec)

is it ok to change it in between the financial year??

2) Or can we change the reporting patter in JDE  to (Jan  to  Dec) keeping the existing date pattern (April to March) if yes how please guide
