Flag Project Asset as having gone to FA

We have an issue, we had about 10 assets that we could not generate asset lines for in projects. In order to get them in Fixed Assets we loaded them manually in order to get through month end. Subsequently the program generated the asset lines and I proposed retiring the assets we manually loaded and interface the assets from projects to mass additions and recreate the assets. The auditors do not want us to do this for some reason. Is there a way I can generate the asset lines in projects, but flag them so they do not create a
