Prevent a database from opening?

I'm wondering if there is a way to prevent a database from being opened, perhaps with a hidden parameter?

My thought pertains for standby databases.  You can spend hours configuring them and if you slip and run a startup command and open the database, it will then need to be rebuilt.

Anybody know of a way to prevent a database from opening?
