Instance update refers to view impacted contracts

Hi All,

I have a case where user is trying to update the Instance but getting below warnings. I observe there are three contracts (2 - expired, 1- terminated) associated with the instance.

Warnings

Updates to the item instance may impact the following contracts. Do you want to continue with the operation?


Credit amount will not be generated for imported contracts, service lines and covered levels that have been billed at source.

From Install Base user guide I could see below extract regarding the above mentioned case.

Viewing Impacted Contracts
Many item instances are associated with contracts. When you update item instances, some types of update may have potential contractual impacts. You may want to see which contracts are impacted before you decide to finalize your changes.
