Not able to update single row date attribute in UDA base table ego_mtl_sy_items_ext_vl using API ego

Hi,

I am trying to delete single row attribute through webadi (R12) using ego_item_user_attrs_cp_pub.process_item_user_attrs_data API.

I am using '!' for character, '9.99E125' for number field and '31-DEC-9999' for date field. For date field instead of deleting the attribute, it is updating it as '31-DEC-9999' though for number and character it is deleting the attribute.

Please let me know if there is any specific format for this.
