New to Oracle DB and Enterprise 9.2, what is the best solution to back up?

So as the title states I am new to backing up Oracle DB and Enterprise one 9.2

The company I work for is migrating over to 9.2 and an Oracle DB from JDEdwards XE and DB2 and we are not sure what the best practice would be to back up an Oracle DB.

One of the admins in our office suggested Commvault since there is a oracle config for it, but I have yet to read anything about it.

Currently where I am is that I am not sure what I need to look for when it comes to backup and recovery solutions and are there any special things that need to be done when backing up an Oracle DB?
