Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Is it possible to use Encumbrance when purchasing inventory items that are stocked instead of consum

Encumbrance is only for items that are purchased and assumed to be consumed upon receipt.

What about items that are to be stocked whose value is in inventory valuation account and the stock pertains to multiple periods?
