Manager is unable to see entitlement balance of indirect reports

Has anyone come across this issue?

A manager is not able to see the entitlement balance of a person in his hierarchy. He navigates to my team personal information -> absences. He can see the absences of the person but when switching to entitlement balance tab, it shows accrual plan doesn't exist.

Hierarchy is like this:

Emp1 reports to Mgr1 => Mgr1 reports to Mgr2

Now Mgr2 is trying to view the Entitlement Balance of Emp1.

The reason I could is that the Emp1 is having one active assignment and one offer accepted assignment. User (Mgr2) is in 2nd line hierarchy for the active assignment and is direct supervisor for the offer accepted one. When going to the absence the pages takes him via the active assignment route as he can only see that in his hierarchy list. But when clicking on entitlement tab its taking the assignment of which he is direct supervisor, hence the error. When I removed him from the offer accepted assignment's supervisor filed , he was able to see the entitlement
