Shipment number creation

Is it possible to use 2 different buckets of next numbers for shipment creation. I have 2 different companies each of which have multiple branch plants and need for the branches belonging to one company to use one NN bucket and the branches under the other company to use a different NN bucket. If so what does this setup look like.

If the above is possible is it possible to have the shipment statuses start at a different point. So for example the starting point for the shipment status is in the special handling for UDC 49/SD. Is it possible for an SOS to be 10 in one branch and a 5 in the other branch?
