Relink GRID/RDBMS additional question

Hi,

Oracle 12.2.0.1 GRID/RDBMS and Oracle Linux 7.5

today we run into the following issue:

After OS patching today the kernel was Oracle Linux 7.6 but the ocssd from CRS stack from daemon won't start.

We had do boot with the older Oracle 7.5. Kernel. After doing that the clusterstack fortunalety was comming up again.

I assume I have to relink the GRID and ORACLE binaries against the 7.6 kernel libraries.

My question: Regarding "Relinking Oracle Home FAQ ( Frequently Asked Questions) (Doc ID 1467060.1)"

For the relinking GRID binaries I had to unlock the GRID home with "rootcrs.sh -unlock" .

For unlocking GRID-Home is it necessary to have the CRS up and running?
