What is "Pre-Applied" on R03B4201B A/R Details with Aging Report

Hello,

We have been using this report (R03B4201B) for a number of years.  We have used Pre-Activity flag and are used to seeing the term "Pre-Paid"  when a receipt occurs with a G/L Date prior to the invoice G/L Date.  In October we took a number of ESU's to utilize new UXOne functionality and we are now seeing the note "Pre-Applied" on some invoice lines.  We still have "Pre-Paid" on others...what is the difference?  i could not find any information on this in the Knowledge area.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
