WIP Completion using LPNs

Hi,

We are trying to perform WIP completion using LPNs on the desktop (OPM Batch details form) and the LPN field there has validations. So i am only able to complete into LPNs that have been created already in the instance. Is there a way to perform WIP completions into a new LPN like you would on a mobile form?
