How many disks in an OCR diskgroup

Hi,

In an Oracle RAC configuration, when you create the OCR diskgroup, there are some requirements:

for external redundancy just one disk

for normal redundancy at least 3 disks

for high redundancy at least 5 disks

Lets assume we are using high redundandy and configured the diskgroup with 5 disks (5 failure groups), on an extended cluster configuration, so 2 disks on one side of the storage, 2 disks on the other side, and as best practice a fifth disk on NFS on a third site.

Every disk as a voting disk, so total 5 voting disks.

What happens if for some reason NFS site is unreachable?

Howdy, Stranger!
