Fixed Assets - EBS (MOSC)

Have a fixed asset that needs to be reclassified out of fixed assets. Have not closed out period yet

We have an invoice that was paid through AP and classified as a fixed asset.  Depreciation was calculated at end of month but month not closed in FA.  The item should not have been put in fixed assets. Will not let me remove the fixed asset or reclassify it. Is there anything to do besides retire it.
