Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. network data encryption

I am using a Oracle 11.2.0.4 standart edition and have two questions:

1) What do I need to use network data encryption? and

2) How do I check which client / server currently transmits data encrypted?

According to https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/options/advanced-security/ds-security-advanced-security-11gr2-1-129479.pdf it seems that I need the Oracle Advanced Security Option (and therefore an Enterprise Edition) while no such thing is mentioned in other parts of the documentation like https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/network.112/e40393/asoconfg.htm#ASOAG9587.
