Variance between Aging 7 Bucket Reports Total and Trial Balance Report

Immediately following every period close our business reconciles our AR Sub-ledger totals to our General Ledger totals for the period. The report we use to derive the Sub-ledger AR total is an Aging 7 Buckets Report by Account and the report we use to derive the General Ledger AR total is a custom built FSG Report consisting of AR totals per account. Recently, upon reconciling these two totals, we discovered a variance where the GL AR total was greater than the SL AR total.
