Cycle Count Ignores Inventory Transaction
A Cycle Count Request was generated on 11/29. At that time the On Hand Quantity was 50. On 11/30 an Account Alias Issue was performed for Quantity = 50. On 12/6 the actual count was performed and the Count Quantity was entered as 0. The system generated a Recount because of the discrepancy with the original quantity of 50.
Oracle is not supposed to do this. Any transactions that occur between the generation of the Count Request and the entry of the Count Quantity are supposed to be taken into account. One of the basic tenets of Oracle Cycle Counts is that you don't need to freeze transactions while the count is is process.
