Notifications in 9.1 Apps with 9.2.2.4 or later tools

Hello, I looking for some info on notifications. Document 2365066.1 states that Tools 9.2.2.4 is required however, it does not say what app release is required. All of the bugs in the doc are for 9.2. Can tools be run in 9.1 apps with 9.2.2.4 or later tools?
