Will Windows Server Patch have compatibility issue with JDE?

Hi everybody! One of our client raised a question that if Windows patches will affect JDE components in bad way (e.g. issues of compatibility, stability, etc)? Should they apply patches provided by Microsoft? Any Oracle suggestion on OS patches?
