Diskgroup redundancy difference between primary database and standby database

We are planning to move storage to purestorage from EMC. However, Purestorage admin claims that all diskgroups with normal redundancy are required to shutdown in both data center when PureStorage upgrade. Therefore it requires the diskgroups in standby side use external redundancy while diskgroups in primary side use normal redundancy as existing. Is there any issue if the diskgroup redundancy setting in primary database and and standby database are different?
