Can you use a distribution e-mail on a Service Request

Can a customer log a Service Request using their own personal MOS ID but use a distribution e-mail to receive notifications from Support?  Either in Primary or Secondary contact field?  Customer would like to have a team of developers receive SR updates.   Please advise.
