What is meaning of *_COST COLUMN in table mtl_material_transactions?

HI,

   recently,i need to grab data about transaction cost. there are so many column name *_cost in mtl_material_transaction(mmt) table ,it makes me confuse.i don't know which column should i use.so,is that any body clear know about this column meaning ? what is different?
