Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Next time BACKUP BEFORE YOU PATCH using ODABR: This is an ABSOLUTE MUST USE for the ODA moving forward!

Note: Only available for Bare Metal installations.

Backing up your information is very important, or at least it should be. One of my college professors once told me,

ODA Node System Backup

The ODA System Node Backup means backup:

Root file system
Boot partition (/boot)
opt file system: OAK/DCS,TFA, OWG, ASR (/opt)
u01 file system: Grid Infrastructure, RDBMS binaries
