Financial Closing impact on the EBS upgrade/migration

Hello Sir,

  • We are in the process to plan for an Oracle EBS upgrade/migration from (12.1.1 to 12.2.x).
  • One of the biggest showstopper is Financial Closing and its impact on the upgrade.
  • We have un-closed periods related to (year 2011) for reasons that I don’t know personally
  • As an IT department we MUST take the process the upgrade ASAP.
  • Our functional team keep saying that it can’t be done and we have to close first but yet they are not closing as expected and it takes time.
  • Some people says that closing is not a prerequisites and the rest says it is mandatory.
