Enabling Lot control for items with existing on Hand Quantity

We want to enable Lot control for some of the items which has on hand Quantity. In order to do that we have to make the on hand quantity to zero through Misc issue, change the Lot attribute for that item and then update the on hand through Misc receipt.

But because of the Misc Issue / Receipt transaction, the Inventory aging of that item will change.

How to enable the Lot control with out affecting the Inventory aging?
