Initiatives - having trouble with Forecast vs Actual, Start vs End

in Procurement - EBS (MOSC) Question

I'm using Initiatives in EBS Purchasing and am running into problems with some of the validations.

The scenario is this....

Initiative has a Task with a Forecast Start of Jan 10 and a duration of 5 days giving a forecast finish of Jan 15.

User specifies that the Task Actual Start is Jan 2.

The first problem is that the UI throws an error saying that Actual Start cannot be earlier than Forecast.Start. This seems to be just wrong as there should always be the option to start a task at any time.

The second problem is the new Forecast End. If I started the task on Jan 2 it's logical to expect that the Forecast End is now Jan 7 but the UI throws an error that Forecast End cannot be earlier than Forecast Start.
