Get Pay Period for an empty Report

Hi,

Is it possible to return the pay period from PeopleSoft for a BI Publisher report when the report has no data? When the report has data I can get the pay period, but when there is no data for the report this is no pay period to be returned. Is there another way to get the pay period?
