Design Studio 7.4 compatibility with OSM 7.3.0.1

HI,
So, we had the design studio upgraded to version 7.4, which requires Java 8 version to be configured for the build of the code to work.
But the osm version to which this code is deployed is of version OSM 7.3.0.1.
Now orders are not getting created and I'm wondering is there some compatibility issue here.
The error in the logs are so:
