Hi

ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied showing up in TOAD/sqlplus  when trying to connect sys as sysdba

Its a 12.1 oracle database in windows server 2008.

SYS user connecting fine from server as route(no password)

I have been searching a lot on this but no correct replies.

Retried changing the sys password(logged in as ROUTE using windows authentication) but still no luck, I am typing the correct password for sure.sec_case_sensitive_logon is set to true.

Please provide suggestions what all I need to check to get this fixed.

Really need to login to sys using a good interface like TOAD  and check a few package in sys etc please help..
