How to Sweep accounting entries not transferred to general ledger in AP

Dear Team,

We identified that some of the old periods have some accounting entries waiting for Transfer to GL. Business is already released the financial results, so they dont want to open old GL periods and transfer. Instead of that they want to transfer entries to latest open period.

Please advice if there is any other chance to do this in R12 AP?
