Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Hi,

On 12c Release 2 (12.2)

We have one ASM RAC database.

It has 3 instances.

Should we have 3 spfiles? i.e: each ASM instance his own spfile?

6.9.2.1 About Oracle ASM Components in Oracle RAC

Each Oracle ASM instance has either an SPFILE or PFILE type parameter file.

For the environment described in this guide, there is an Oracle ASM instance on each node and the Oracle ASM instances use SPFILEs.
