How to have sub-inventory assigned to assets accounts not to inventory accounts.

Please we want your advise about the following issue.

1 – We have a new factory will get in production through next six months.

2 – Now we have a new item which is mold and this item has many scales so it will be items not one item.

3 – These items we want to treat it as assets and able to match it through AP invoice matching process.

So, may you help us for answering the below questions

1 – We want to create a sub inventory for these items but this store contains assets and assigned to assets accounts not to inventory accounts .... How to do this ?
