How can we split our Oracle EBS architecture/configuration from one tier/node to two tiers/nodes?

Currently on R12.1.3 and 11.2.0.4. Application Tier and Database Tiers installed on one SUN Sparc server with Solaris 10. Now we are planning to split them into two seperate servers (keeping the APP tier on the existing node and moving the DB tier to a new SUN Sparc server node). I looking for guidance for this process and / or reference material.
