Unable to see Asset Org when creating a security profile

I have created a new entity, and created the business group in HR. I created an asset organisation for the new entity as we seem to use asset orgs and not hierarchies in assets. When I create the security profile, the asset org that i created is not in the list of values in the organisation section

So I have business group 123, Asset org 123 both set up as organisations, the org type for the asset org is asset organisation, and it is classified as an asset org, with the asset book linked under 'other'.

When i create the security profile, I select 'Secure organisations by organisation hierarchy and /or organisation list, and in the section below that under organisation name, the asset org is not visible
