Non currency to multucurrency

We are currently in non multi currency environment in jde 9.1. We plan on moving to multicurrency environment. We have several years of historical data. We would like to know if its required for us to run the programs to convert all our historical data from non multicurrency to multicurrency.

Another thing we are looking at is if there's any automatic process to interface or update the daily exchange rates.
