ZFS storage update/upgrade

Hi. Since I am quite new in upgrading ZFS storage, and I don't know what can possibly go wrong, I will need to ask a question.

We have ZFS storage 7120, which patch "2013.06.05.7.20,1-1.4" installed. I noticed that there is new patch released which is version "2013.06.05.8.3,1-1.1". Is there any obstacles of pushing this patch in terms of going from my version which is currently active to the latest one?

Please refer to the picture below.

what are the prerequisites of doing that, except pushing new configuration backup? Is there a chance that this patch might destroy data on volumes and if so, how to prevent it?
