Tech Update - PeopleSoft Cloud Manager Transitions Focus to OCI (Doc ID 2494939.1)

PeopleSoft’s Cloud Manager was initially released back in early 2017 on Oracle’s first generation of cloud, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure – Classic.  Since that time Oracle has redesigned its cloud offering, making major improvements with its second-generation, enterprise cloud offering, Oracle Cloud infrastructure (OCI).

OCI provides a number of enhancements including advanced networking capabilities, fault tolerance and built in failover capabilities using Regions and multiple Availability Domains.  Given the advantages available with OCI, PeopleSoft has decided to deliver all future Cloud Manager images solely on OCI.

PeopleSoft Cloud Manager Image 08 will be the last image released on OCI-Classic.  To ensure a smooth transition period to OCI, PeopleSoft will continue to support image 08 for Classic customers through the end of 2019.
