Grants Portal staging for projects issue.

Hello,

We would like to implement Grants Portal.  Right now, we are testing in one of our testing environments.  We noticed that there where many missing projects.  Research indicated that the Portal staging process requires projects to have an entry in the PS_PROJECT_STATUS table.  This table is maintained by Navigation Main>Project Costing>Project Definitions>Status. Currently, we don't use this feature(or haven't in recent history).  Is there a way to stage projects in the portal without this status row?  If not, is there a way we can configure to auto populate this table when adding new projects?  If manual entry is needed, it
