Hello Professors , Email Notification through TFA

I have TFA installed and did set the email notification using tfactl set notificationAddress= ,

wanted to ask when i will get email ?  I mean what triggers the email ? The incident  / problem etc ? Can we also set email notification for customized incident like specific ORA ?
