How to show only current check as "To The Estate of" while processing final pay for deceased employe

How to show only current check as "To The Estate of" while processing final pay for deceased employees?

Currently, we change the employee’s first name in the FIRST NAME field to The Estate of (First Name) in Personal data panel, however if you look in review paycheck, it shows every check that was ever issued that employee changed when it should only be the one final check.
