Critical security patches

Hi,

As a relative newcomer to the ODA world I understand the quarterly patching cycle that covers the ODA (all technology stacks).

One question that comes up a lot is how critical security / bug patches are released?

Are customers expected to wait for the next quarterly update or would there be an ad-hoc release to address an high severity issue?
