How does system translate Retained Earnings account

Hello All,

We are on R12.2.4

Does anybody know how Retained Earnings account get translated?

We have ARS Ledger (Where functional currency is ARS). We translate the numbers into USD every month.   Profile option:- GL: Owners Equity translation rule is set to PTD (at Site level and there is no value at other levels). We entered Historical rate for the retained earnings account couple of years ago and looks like system is using the same every month. Please find below screenshot of the same.

But when i do calculations, our numbers are not reconciling. I took my retained earnings balance as of ADJ-FY-18 (which is the last fiscal period of Financial year 2018) and try to multiply the same with historical rate, but the number under my ARS ledger (USD) -- this is our translated ledger do not show the manual calculation amount
