Project uMails not visible in Unifier 18.8.8.4

Currently we are on Unifier 18.8.4. In the older versions a user (permissions allowed) could find all project correspondence under the UMails. Now not so, unless I miss the permission.

Scenario: a user from Company A worked on Project X as a PM (permissions - full permissions to the PM group). Same user switch companies and started working for Company B on the same Project X. Administrator de-activated user account under Company A and created a new user account under Company B. Now the user cannot see his previous uMails since there is not permission to be granted to Project uMails.
