Future Use Flag for audit questions

This is just a general question.

We see future use flags in many of the JDE tables.

In this instance i see it in the security history F9312 table.

My question is what is future use? is it meant for future JDE version and not our current one?

If so, can we trust the data present in it or not, can you present the data to auditors for evidence purpose? What does oracle say, how authentic are those Future Use Flag columns?

Also, will they come up in the standard JDE reports or not? like in this case reports that run on the security history table.
