R03B50 , R03B50D - questions

Hi - We plan to use R03B50 and R03B50D and have a couple of questions :

1. IF the payment received amount is greater than the invoice line amount , will R03B50D apply the payment to the invoice?

2. If a payment is in current month for an invoice in future month , will the  above programs apply the payment to the invoice ?  We do not have PBCO setting in the GL constants turned on. Will this cause any issues.

3. Do we have any documentation on how R03B50 and R03B50D work , which talks about the conditions logic used by these programs?
