Planned finish date on Service Work Order

We are using JDE E1 9.2 Service Module and using P17714 for capturing Service/Maintenance Work Order. While creation of Service work order on Planning tab system is populating Planned finish date same as planned start date ( we are using Work Order start date projection feature for PM work orders ). Need to understand the logic behind planned finish date population as we want to use this field for some other business purpose.
